2. EMP: Congressman Franks is one of the world’s top experts on Electromagnetic Pulse. Trent covered this topic, not to scare you, but so we could understand it. I could not comprehend how it was possible that if we lost electrical power, 90% of Americans would be dead within one year, until I read William Forstchen’s book One Second After (pictured above). Forstchen has since written two more books in his EMP trilogy.

3. FRACKING: That is, fracturing shale for higher oil production. Congressman Franks is an expert on this topic, along with slant drilling, having bought his first drilling rig when he was 17 years of age, and who is now involved in off-shore drilling near Australia. He is the only Member of Congress (as of 2017, when he left office) to have personally fracked a well.
